Tripping and teaching are two pieces of the puzzle that should not be separated. I love both of them equally. Newfoundland and especially the west coast can be an intimidating place to paddle, but if you combine skill and good equipment with sound decision making before and during your paddle the ocean will grant you permission to explore its many secrets.

I am a student of Gayle Wilson and Scott Cunningham and their 28 years of experience as a multi-day sea kayaking outfitter. Their safety oriented operation and careful planning of trips is an inspiration to any course offered under Paddle Canada and the focus of my teaching.
